Amazing Places on our Planet

Trinidad was founded in 1514 as the third Spanish settlement in Cuba. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988, because of its outstanding and well preserved colonial architecture.

According to UNESCO: "Trinidad is an outstanding example of a colonial city; it has maintained its historic core, featuring the highest percentage of surviving antique buildings and public squares and bringing together architectural, historic and cultural elements of great value."
