Brooklyn Travel Guide

United States & Canada

A visit to Brooklyn is a tour through the first settlement in New York. As you walk through its imposing brownstones and take in the spectacular views of New York City, you’ll see why over 2.5 million people call it home.

With all those residents, Brooklyn is the most densely populated of the five New York City boroughs. It’s also among the most beautiful; just stop by Brooklyn Bridge Park to see what we mean. You’ll find 85 acres of parkland framed by the New York City skyline and the famous Brooklyn Bridge—it’s the perfect place to take pictures. Over 4,000 pedestrians cross the Brooklyn Bridge to and from Manhattan each day—lots of them with cameras in hand.

Continue your Brooklyn sightseeing at Coney Island. Once the biggest theme park in the U.S., Coney Island is still full of classic attractions; visit Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, scream your way through the Cyclone roller coaster (maybe not in that order), and ride the carousel. Once you’ve had your fill of the rides and the food, you can slip down to the beach that runs alongside the boardwalk and relax until the sun goes down.
